Equipment & Software in the Spark Lab

The Spark! Digital Media Lab is a technology learning space at the Burbank Central Library with equipment and software for audio and video production, 3D printing, animation, gaming, virtual reality and more.

Technology available in the lab is listed below. This list is subject to change.

Computers, tablets, & other equipment

  • Wacom Cintiq and Intuos tablets
  • Dremel 3D45 3D printer with PLA filament
  • Makerbot Replicator+ with PLA filament
  • Filming equipment: Sony Handycam, Canon DSLR, Insta360 OneX, GoPro Hero 7, green screen, projector, lighting equipment, tripods
  • Microphones: Blue Yetis, Shure SM57 & SM58, Audio Technica condenser pack, Sennheiser radio mic, Rode SmartLav+
  • Sound equipment: Maschine beat maker, Presonus audio mixer, Focusrite Scarlette interface, Novation Launchkey mini & 49 keyboards, Yamaha studio monitors, pop filters, headphones
  • Virtual reality equipment: Oculus Rift and Go, HTC Vive

  • Sound production: Ableton Live, Adobe Audition, Audacity, Avid Pro Tools, Garageband (Mac only), Komplete, Logic Pro (Mac only), Mainstage (Mac only)
  • Video production: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro (Mac only), GoPro, iMovie (Mac only), Insta 360 Studio, Motion (Mac only)
  • Photography: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom
  • 3D Design & Printing: Adobe Substance, Blender, Dremel Digilab 3D Slicer, Makerbot Print, TinkerCAD
  • Other: Adobe Animate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Gamemaker Studio (Mac only), Mindshow, Oculus, Unreal Engine, Vive
